LOVE MARRIAGE :

Love marriage is an union between two individuals who are interested in one another after having met either at college ,  office, or through common friends or within the neighborhood. They first understand each-other, like each-other and love each-other then only they take this important decision of marriage. They concentrate to the education, mindset, understanding, attitude, behavior, thought process .They meet several times and develop love feeling towards one another .They mutually plan to tie the knot .They tell their parents and other relatives about their marriage and check out to convince them for marriage .

Love isn't a recent concept within the history of human civilization .Humans have fallen crazy with their desired partner from past .In fact ,love marriage is that the natural sort of marriage wherein the spontaneous liking for the opposite person leads to a marital union.

Types :

1.Fully love marriage :

This is a type of marriage in which boy and girl first love each other and later decide to marry . They don’t tell their parents about their marriage. Parents came to know only after marriage has done .In another case they tell parents about marriage but parents do not agree and oppose this relation .In this case boy and girl do marriage and tell  parents later .

2.Love Cum Arranged marriage :

This is a type of marriage in which boy and girl first loves each other and later decides to get married .They tell their parents about marriage. Parents accept their relation and agree their decision. This is a marriage in which both parents and couples are involved.

Advantages of love marriage :

1.You and your partner known to each other : 

You and your partner have known each other for years as a boy friend-girl friend which means you have enough understanding of the bond you share and also about the person you share it with, instead of going with someone completely stranger . You accept your partner with her flaws and vice versa. Even though you and your partner has known each other for years , marriage and the relationship of a husband and a wife is completely different. Therefore even after marriage, you'll be learning so many new things and experiences about each other . You are aware of each other's flaws and your partner's shortcomings don't really surprise you, neither yours surprise them. You do not have the pressure of impressing your spouse right after marriage because they know you inside out .

2.A sense of maturity :

Selecting one’s own partner is a sign of maturity. You both were together for so long that your communication between each other is very strong . You both discuss problems with each other and be like ‘Look this is the problem and this is how we are gonna fix it .

3. Support and security:

Your partner supports you in every thick and thin times. You feel secure when you are around them. Love, support, security, protection and respect is what makes you a family.

Disadvantages of love marriage :

1.Love can be very blinding :

You're in love, you're blind. You ignore all negative things of your partner and think only about the nice things. Love blinds you. Its true in many cases. One often falls in love with wrong or mismatched person. I have seen many such cases, where people fall in love and want to get married as someone from their family had done so. After marriage, they get the taste of reality and that's when they realize, things are not that rosy.

In the intensity of love and passion, you ignore too many shortcomings of your partner because they look so small compared to your love.  The problem is that this doesn't work after feelings start fading or at least get calmer. Because then, all the shortcomings  you overlooked are revealed and you see their true size. And all the areas you're incompatible in start causing cracks in the relationship.

There are a few chances of your partner changing after a few years of marriage. You end up in fights and eventually in a divorce. The biggest disadvantage of a love marriage is that none of the partners want to compromise. They both do as they wish and at times compatibility becomes an issue. None fear the parents or the society. Also, if the parents have disapproved of your love marriage earlier, then you have to go through a lot of pain of separation from your parents in a love marriage. Sometimes, if your marriage fails, then you don't have anyone to look up to for support in a love marriage.

2.More expectations from partner :

Many times couples think they can beat anything because they love each other. And only after marriage, they realize that love is not enough at all. Because you love your partner so much ,so you have a lot of expectations from your partner .When these expectations are not completed ,you feel very bad and start to think again about your decision of marriage.

3.Chances of cheating :

In love marriage there are chances that one partner is cheating or faking. So the real colours of your partner come out only after marriage and then it creates havoc.

In a love marriage, the couple have already been on their best behaviour while courting. Most probably the couple were never their true self. Rather they always project a personality they think their partner will like. Their true colors come out after marriage. And since the couple knew each other at their fake best, they will not be as willing to compromise or sacrifice after marriage as arranged marriage couples.

Love marriages are often bases for money scams. Where richer men and women are attacked by money-hungry people looking for a way to marry them so they can later divorce them and get half their money. Love is an illogical thing that makes you do other stupid things.

4.No support from parents :

Generally Parents do not support love marriage and they oppose this type marriage because they think how their son/daughter can take such big decision without their consent .Sometimes they never forgive their wards . If something goes wrong in a love marriage. If your partner cheats on you or something, asking for a divorce is literally showing your parents that they were right. They will come out with the “I knew it” and might not always help saying “you went out and married on your own so you go and end it on your own".

5.Different Background :

Love marriages usually take place between people who belong to different cultures. Intercultural marriages create problems . A lot of cultural differences erupt after marriage .

6.Financial Problems :

In the beginning all things go well in love marriage as you married your loved one and you may think you got heaven .But once honeymoon period is over and expenses are increased in marriage life then main problem starts .If partners are not financially strong then it becomes very difficult to bear the daily expenses and married life becomes toxic .Parents or relatives are not there to help you. Partners start to argue ,fight each other.

7. No Guidance :

In love marriage ,partners do not get useful and important guidance that are important for upcoming marriage life from parents ,relatives or society as this type marriage has done without their consent .

8. Less chances of success :

Divorce rates in love marriage are more as compared to arranged marriage in India .Couples have no pressure from parents ,relatives and society to continue this marriage .Nobody is here to mediate between partners if they fight .So partners are free to take divorce easily .More cases of divorce are coming in recent days in our country .Divorce can not be solution of any problem in marriage life .Divorce is the final step of ending marriage .

It is a marriage where boy and girl are selected by parents or other relatives .They hardly know each other before marriage .After marriage they start to know each other.Love is developed after marriage .

 

2.Arranged cum love marriage :

It is a marriage where boy and girl are selected by parents or other relatives but before marriage they meet multiple times and try to understand other each other .Love is developed slowly between them and they think they can go ahead for marriage. 

Advantages of Arranged marriage :

1.Higher sense of security :

It is normally arranged by the parents, they try to ensure that it works and are willing to render all sorts of support .

2.The expectation level:

Emotional and general expectation from partner is low. It will start building along with time but at the initial stages it is low…Chances of fights would be less due to emotional expectations.

3.Social compaibility :

You don’t just marry your partner, you marry his or her whole family. Your parents look after the prospective partner’s cultural background, educational qualifications, social status and how well you would be able to adjust in the new family, which helps to make your married life smoother and comfortable . 

4.Marriage Not get boring early :

Marriage won't get boring early because of initial attraction turning into love after marriage.Curiosity to know each other is high. Girl and Boy usually give so much attention to each other which is good for building successful relationship. Sometimes that attention makes you feel special too.

5.More chances of successful marriage :

It is based on mutual trust and understanding rather than 'love at first sight'. In an arranged marriage, commitment is what brings the two people together and love gradually blossoms. So, commitment is the strongest advantage for those who are going for an arranged .Many people opt for an arranged marriage because divorce rate is very low in comparison to other types of marriage.

Disadvantages of Arranged marriage :

1.Not get to know more about partner :

When you meet someone for the first time with the intention of marriage you both try so hard to impress each other. Your standards are higher and you are trying to evaluate each other.You may not know other's hobby,likes ,passion and thinking about you.

2.Arranged marriage can be stressful :

Spending the rest of your life with one  person may be  stressful because you don't know if you are making the right decision .You meet this person for a few times and you must say yes or no to getting engaged or just getting into a relationship with the intention marriage .

3 .Arranged marriage can lack passion :

Because the relationship is formal from the start ,you may not develop passionate feelings for the partner .Sometime love grows after marriage, but even then it doesn't usually reach up to the intense love you experience otherwise .

4. Taking divorce is difficult :

Because it is arranged by both side parents and other relatives too ,if something wrong happens between partners and becomes impossible to live together then it is very difficult to take divorce .Parents pressure is so much that they cant take divorce .They are forced to live together .

BEFORE AND AFTER MARRIAGE

 

Before marriage:

1. Me and my love ( now wife) go on long bike rides on weekends.

2. Go to beach and enjoy fresh and cool air & music of see waves.

3. Eat some spicy food. Talk about our future.

4. Then head back home.

5. Talk hours on phone at night

6. Sleep becomes secondary.

7. Valentine’s day ,we both wait for this beautiful day for months . Gift each other fancy stuff on Valentine’s day.

8. I can forget all but can’t think to forget her birth day.

The idea that we were in love was so so beautiful.

Post marriage:

1. Me and my wife go on bike ride to get groceries on weekends.

2. Go to vegetable shops .Buy some vegetables

3. Eat home made food Talk about daily routine problems .

4. Both head back to home and get sleep. Weekdays are enemies of sleep.

5. No time to talk .Solution of problems is primary goal.

6. Sleep becomes primary.

7. Valentine’s day, we both had important meetings at office respectively. We meet at night tired. Wish each other Valentine’s day and head to sleep.

8. I can’t forget daily routine problems .Often forget her birth day.
